Although released last year, the futuristic sounds from U.S. based Terreyl Fields first EP sounds like it will always feel made for ‘now’. The slightly offbeat melodies (Kodak Moment) and out of this world synths feel perfect for the world's current set up, while we travel through uncharted waters, figuring out what works for us.
Fields latest EP ‘First Hit’ appears to take this blank slate and filled it with a trippy RnB/Hip-hop/genre-bending sound that confidently veers from slow, deep, basslines, developing into upbeat fast-paced tracks with optimistic melodies. He’s comfortable criss-crossing through a few different lanes and now, with 'unpredictability' becoming the new norm, Fields mirrors our day-to-day by introducing us to a slightly different sound with each song. We eased into the EP starting slap bang in the middle with ‘Slice Slide’ and we haven’t looked back. Yes we WILL be playing this all summer — get into this 16 min gem now.
